ISD 112 has an exceptional academic reputation based on the belief that each child is unique and designs a variety of programs from arts to athletics to suit individual talents and interests. The district has a progressive learning program by offering personalized learning opportunities from elementary to middle school to high school.
The district has ranked amongst the top 10 percent of high schools in America by the Washington Post. Students are encouraged and prepared for post-secondary education with the opportunity to be part of college-level classes as well as college preparatory courses. In 2012, 92% of the class continued their education after high school.
