The Rockford School District is a predominately rural district that includes all or parts of the following communities – Buffalo, Rockford, Greenfield, and Corcoran across both Hennepin and Wright counties. Our mission:

The district is comprised of three magnet schools – types of public schools with a particular curricular focus developed around a core set of five principles according to the Magnet Schools of America organization. These five pillars include: Diversity, Innovative Curriculum & Professional Development, Academic Excellence, High-Quality Instructional Systems, and Family and Community Partnerships.
- Rockford Elementary (grades K-4) is an Arts Magnet School that integrates content and skills from the arts areas of dance, drama, music, and visual art with core subjects.
- Rockford Middle School – Center for Environmental Studies (grades 5-8) is a STEM Magnet School that integrates science, technology, engineering, and math with an environmental emphasis.
- Rockford High School (grades 9-12) is an IB Magnet School that infuses a core curriculum with a world focus that can help young people understand their role as responsible world citizens.
